Property Lawyer at Fastighetsägarna MittNord, temporary position for about 1 year based in Umeå

About the position

As a property lawyer with us, you will work in a broad role providing legal advice to our existing members while also being responsible for creating engagement towards the market to attract new members. You will collaborate closely with our members and assist them as needed in contacts with tenants, courts, and other authorities. This is a role with both business and development focus, where you have the opportunity to help develop and deliver other services related to our business operations. You are an active and important part of our member service.

The overall tasks as a property lawyer include:

• Advising our members on issues related to property law in general and rental and housing law specifically. Other areas of law may also be involved.

• Representing members in disputes in rental boards and courts on their behalf.

• Collaborating closely with the office's property consultant by providing legal expertise in parts of the rental negotiation work.

• Participating in and leading training for members and employees.

• Engaging in member activities to promote our legal services.

The work as a property lawyer with us is varied, challenging, and places high demands on independence, problem-solving ability, and the ability to plan, complete, and follow up on your own work. Your profile

We are looking for someone who thrives in a negotiation situation and who has both a business-oriented and collaborative approach. You should be driven to understand and engage with our members' business ideas and apply the law in a way that yields the best results. You are service-oriented and have an easy time communicating with clients and counterparts in a professional and light-hearted manner. You enjoy taking significant personal responsibility and initiative while also having a strong sense of teamwork.

We seek candidates with a law degree, and it is advantageous if you have a few years of work experience and experience in handling legal matters, preferably in rental law. Court service is a merit but not a requirement. A certain interest in politics and social issues is beneficial for the position. Great emphasis is placed on your personal qualities.
